The system does not always use the sub to its full power, But then it will punch it to full when a thud is needed! and believe it is deep rich bass. The system itself is a great little friend, Mine is the updated version that does up-scale to 1080p. Also the USB can now also hot play DIVX movies from the mass storage usb! The display on the system is clear and easy to use. The speakers are tidy and the floor standing speakers are removable from there stands to allow wall mounting. When listening to music the sub gives a deep rich sounding bass that makes the system sound very expensive! The good points. divx playback by hot play or disc. Now up-scales to 1080p, Well made sub woofer for that punch when its needed! The bad points. Personally there are none, But if i was going to be very fussy, Sometimes when the system is turned on with a disc still inside the system can take a good 20 sec to eject the disc/dvd apart from that, i cant fault this machine at all Hope my review helps you!
